Wilderness First Responder Course

This semester, the Alpine Club is partnering with Wilderness Medic to offer a five-day accelerated WFR course. We are psyched for this opportunity, and hope you look in to it!

What is a WFR?

A WFR is an internationally recognized certification denoting skills and training in wilderness medicine. Professionals use this certification in settings such as guiding outdoor adventure sports, Search and Rescue, etc. Additionally, the skills taught in a WFR course are exceedingly valuable in day-to-day recreation and personal expeditions. Knowing what to do in a medical emergency can be the difference between life and death, especially in the backcountry.
